IBM India & South Asia Names Japnit Kaur as Marketing Leader

New Delhi: IBM India & South Asia has appointed Japnit Kaur as its new Marketing Leader, placing her at the helm of marketing initiatives for IBM Consulting and IBM Technology across India and South Asia.

Kaur brings extensive experience in B2B enterprise marketing, having worked with leading technology companies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware and Wipro. Her expertise covers account-based marketing, executive engagement, industry marketing, demand generation and partner-led growth.

Before joining IBM, Kaur spent nearly five years at AWS, where she most recently served as Enterprise Marketing Leader. In the role, she worked closely on enterprise-focused marketing programmes and initiatives aligned with customer engagement and business growth. She previously led SMB marketing initiatives at AWS.

Earlier, Kaur spent more than seven years at VMware across field marketing, alliances, solution marketing and partner marketing. Her experience at Wipro further added to her background in sales and marketing, giving her exposure to both commercial strategy and enterprise technology markets.

In her new role, Kaur will focus on developing and executing integrated marketing programmes aimed at strengthening IBM’s brand presence, deepening client engagement and supporting growth across the region. Her appointment comes as IBM continues to expand its focus on AI, hybrid cloud and consulting-led transformation.

Kaur succeeds Tuhina Pandey, who has moved into a broader role as Vice President of Marketing for IBM Asia Pacific. The leadership transition gives IBM dedicated marketing leadership for India and South Asia while Pandey takes on the wider regional mandate.
