New Delhi- The Government of India has appointed Manan Akhtar, a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, as the Commissioner of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Before joining the DDA, Akhtar held important positions in the Uttar Pradesh government, including Special Secretary in the Medical Education Department and CEO of Promote Pharma, where he played a significant role in streamlining governance and public service delivery.
The Delhi Development Authority, functioning under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is responsible for shaping the capital’s urban landscape. With this new leadership, the authority is set to focus on modernizing policies and enhancing public services to meet the needs of Delhi’s rapidly growing population.
