MSDE and Autodesk Join Hands to Transform Vocational Skill Development in India

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has partnered with Autodesk to strengthen digital design and technology skills across Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs), in a move aimed at future-proofing India’s workforce.

Under this collaboration, Autodesk’s industry-leading digital design and engineering tools will be integrated into vocational training curricula, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with advanced software widely used in modern manufacturing, construction, and design sectors. The initiative focuses on enhancing employability by aligning training outcomes with evolving industry requirements.

The partnership seeks to bridge the gap between traditional vocational education and emerging technologies by equipping trainees with practical, job-ready skills. Instructors will also receive training to effectively deliver updated course content and ensure consistent learning standards across institutions.

Officials from MSDE noted that the collaboration supports the government’s vision of building a skilled, industry-ready workforce capable of meeting the demands of next-generation industries. Autodesk emphasized its commitment to empowering learners with access to cutting-edge digital tools and global best practices.

This initiative marks a significant step toward modernising vocational education in India, fostering innovation, and strengthening the talent pipeline for future-focused sectors.
