The Government of Maharashtra has entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft to launch MahaCrimeOS AI, an advanced, artificial intelligence–enabled policing platform designed to enhance cybercrime investigation capabilities across the state.
Powered by Microsoft Azure, MahaCrimeOS AI aims to accelerate the detection, analysis, and resolution of cybercrime cases while ensuring uniformity in investigative processes across police departments. The platform is built to standardise workflows, improve data-driven decision-making, and strengthen coordination among law enforcement agencies statewide.
By leveraging cloud computing and AI technologies, MahaCrimeOS AI will support faster case processing, improved digital evidence management, and enhanced analytical insights. The initiative is expected to significantly boost operational efficiency and help law enforcement agencies respond more effectively to the growing complexity of cybercrime.
State officials highlighted that the collaboration aligns with Maharashtra’s broader vision of adopting advanced digital tools to modernise policing and improve public safety. Microsoft’s technological expertise is expected to play a key role in building a scalable, secure, and future-ready solution for law enforcement.
The launch of MahaCrimeOS AI marks a major step toward technology-driven policing in Maharashtra, reinforcing the state’s commitment to innovation, cybersecurity, and citizen-centric governance.
