Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is set to host the 27th National Conference on Good Governance on January 30-31, 2025. Organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat, the two-day event aims to promote best practices in governance and facilitate their replication across the nation.
The conference aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of “Maximum Governance – Minimum Government” and will focus on fostering innovation, digital governance, and citizen-centric services through government process re-engineering.
Key Highlights of the Event:
- Inaugural Session: The event will be inaugurated by Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The Chief Secretary of Gujarat and the Secretary of DARPG will also address the session.
- Launch of e-Journal: An e-Journal titled Minimum Government – Maximum Governance in two volumes will be unveiled. It will feature shortlisted initiatives from the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2023.
- Award-Winning Practices: Over 30 speakers, including District Collectors and senior officials from state and central governments, will present their innovative and award-winning governance practices.
- Focus Areas: Key themes include leveraging emerging technologies, improving public service delivery, and showcasing district-level initiatives in e-Governance and the best practices of the Gujarat government.
