2,500 drones to illuminate Prayagraj’s skies with mesmerizing visuals
The Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh is set to dazzle devotees and visitors at Mahakumbh with a spectacular Mega Drone Show featuring 2,500 drones. This extraordinary fusion of tradition and technology will light up the skies above Triveni Sangam from January 24 to 26, with the show beginning at 7 PM each evening at Sector 7 in Prayagraj.
A trial run of the drone show was successfully conducted on the evening of January 23, creating anticipation for the grand display. During the rehearsal, drones flew in perfect synchronization, forming stunning shapes and visuals, offering a glimpse of the magical experience to come.
The event will commemorate three significant occasions:
- January 24: Uttar Pradesh Day
- January 25: National Tourism Day
- January 26: Republic Day
Each night will feature a unique theme, depicting visuals inspired by Indian culture, spirituality, and the historical significance of Mahakumbh. Highlights include the depiction of the epic Samudra Manthan (the churning of the ocean) and the emergence of the 14 Ratnas, the greatness of Lord Shiva consuming poison to save the world, and the story of the Kumbh Kalash, from which drops of nectar fell, giving rise to the Mahakumbh. The drones will also form divine symbols, including the sacred chant ‘OM,’ creating an atmosphere of devotion and awe.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh announced that the drone show on Uttar Pradesh Day will be free for all visitors. He emphasized that the event celebrates the innovation of Make-in-India drones while adding grandeur to the Mahakumbh.
The Tourism Department has ensured all preparations are in place for the three-day event, which promises to captivate millions of pilgrims and tourists with a breathtaking combination of light, sound, and spirituality. Witness this once-in-a-lifetime event and experience the divine splendor of Mahakumbh in an entirely new light.
