Smt. Nilambari Vijay Jagadale, IPS officer of the 2005 batch from the Punjab cadre, has been transferred and appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) – Counter Intelligence, Punjab. She will be based in SAS Nagar (Mohali).
Prior to this, she was serving as DIG, Ludhiana Range, where she played a crucial role in maintaining law and order and overseeing key policing operations in the region. Her new posting in Counter Intelligence marks a significant transition into a more specialised and strategic law enforcement role, focusing on internal security, surveillance, and intelligence gathering.
Known for her sharp investigative skills and strong leadership, Smt. Jagadale’s appointment comes at a time when intelligence-led policing continues to be a cornerstone of maintaining security and addressing emerging threats in the state.
