Praana Group Bolsters Global Expansion with Darpan Parikh Appointment

Praana Group, a diversified Indian conglomerate in specialty chemicals and fiberglass, has appointed Darpan Parikh as a Board Member and CEO of its subsidiary Galata Chemicals, signaling a key step in its strategy for international growth and integration. Parikh brings over 25 years of global expertise in strategy, commercial transformation, portfolio management, and supply chain optimization, drawn from senior roles at SABIC and General Electric, where he spearheaded sales, supply chain, and operations across complex markets. Holding an MBA and a Master’s in Plastics Engineering, he will drive Galata’s expansion in specialty additives for coatings, PVC, engineering plastics, and industrial applications, focusing on operational excellence, product innovation, and customer partnerships worldwide.
As Board Member, Parikh will shape Praana’s broader portfolio, including Sterling Specialty
Chemicals, Artek Surfin Chemicals, and 3B Fibreglass, aiding recent acquisitions like Owens
Corning’s glass reinforcements, Halliburton’s Multi-Chem assets, and Arkema’s Vlissingen
facility for plastic additives.
