Rajeev Mantri has taken over as the Finance Chief at Axis Bank, bringing with him nearly three decades of experience in banking and financial management.
Mantri joins Axis Bank after concluding his tenure at Bandhan Bank, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). His appointment comes following the resignation of Puneet Sharma, filling a key leadership position within the bank’s finance function.
Over the course of his career, Mantri has built extensive expertise in financial strategy, regulatory compliance, corporate finance, and governance. His experience in the banking sector is expected to support Axis Bank’s financial management and long-term business objectives.
The appointment comes as the bank continues to strengthen its leadership team amid a rapidly evolving banking landscape. Mantri’s appointment is in line with the eligibility requirements prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the position.
