Ramesh Bodar Named Vice President of Solar PV Ingot at Reliance Industries

Reliance Industries Limited has appointed Ramesh Bodar as Vice President of Solar PV Ingot (CGS), reinforcing the company’s focus on expanding its integrated solar and clean energy manufacturing capabilities. The appointment aligns with Reliance Industries’ broader new energy roadmap, which aims to build end-to-end renewable manufacturing infrastructure in India.

In his new role, Bodar will be involved in advancing Reliance’s solar PV ingot and wafer manufacturing operations, a critical component of the group’s clean energy strategy as it scales domestic manufacturing across the renewable value chain.

Bodar brings nearly two decades of experience within Reliance Industries, with expertise spanning large-scale process operations, greenfield and brownfield project commissioning, and high-performance plant management. Over the course of his career, he has held senior operational leadership roles across complex and mission-critical assets, including CCR Platformer, NHT, Paraxylene, and Petcoke Gasification plants. His experience reflects a strong background in operational excellence, safety leadership, and managing high-reliability manufacturing environments at scale.

Prior to his elevation to Vice President, Bodar served as Senior General Manager and General Manager at Reliance Industries Limited, where he contributed to operational stability, efficiency improvement initiatives, and long-term capability building across manufacturing operations. Before joining Reliance, he gained industry exposure at Nirma Limited and Asian Paints, managing core chemical and manufacturing processes that strengthened his foundation in industrial operations.

Bodar’s professional journey began with technical training and internships at Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (GSFC), laying the groundwork for a career defined by hands-on engineering expertise, disciplined execution, and leadership in large manufacturing ecosystems. His transition from conventional energy and chemicals to renewable manufacturing reflects Reliance Industries’ strategy of leveraging experienced internal leadership to support its clean energy ambitions.
