The Madhya Pradesh government has appointed Thakre Rishikesh Vijay, IAS, as Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Bijawar, Chhatarpur, as part of a major administrative reshuffle involving 32 IAS officers.
A 2024-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Thakre was serving as Assistant Collector, Damoh, before his latest posting. His new assignment marks his transition to an independent field-level administrative role.
As SDO (Revenue), Bijawar, Thakre will oversee key revenue and sub-divisional administrative matters, including land-related issues, implementation of government directives, public grievances and coordination with local authorities.
His posting is part of a wider reshuffle in which several young IAS officers have been given independent responsibilities across different districts of Madhya Pradesh. Officers from the 2024 batch have been assigned SDO (Revenue) positions in areas including Bina, Baihar, Majhauli, Kukshi, Devsar, Bichhiya and Shahpura.
The new assignment provides Thakre with direct administrative responsibility at the sub-divisional level and an opportunity to gain further experience in field governance, revenue administration and public service delivery.
