Leadership journeys are often described in terms of ambition, resilience, and achievement. But as I reflect on this Women’s Day, I realize that the most powerful force shaping my journey has been encouragement, the belief others had in me at critical moments.
From starting my career as an engineer at Tata Consultancy Services to now serving as the Global Head of Marketing, Product Innovation and Digital Sales at Cloud4C, every phase of my career has been shaped by people who opened doors and inspired confidence. Mentors who shared their wisdom, managers who trusted me with opportunities before I fully believed I was ready, colleagues whose ideas challenged and inspired me, and my family who provided constant strength.
These experiences shaped how I view leadership today. I believe leadership is not about authority, but about enabling others to grow. It requires empathy, staying grounded, and being willing to get into the details. Sometimes it also means rolling up your sleeves, stepping in for the team, and doing the work alongside them. Those moments build trust and respect far more than titles ever can.
At its core, leadership is about creating environments where people feel encouraged to step forward and discover their potential. When women lead with authenticity and purpose, they don’t just grow their own careers; they create ecosystems where many others can grow, lead, and thrive as well.
