Mahakumbh Mela 2025

Speaking at the commendation certificate distribution ceremony at IGP, Jaiveer Singh said, “The successful organization of the world’s largest spiritual, cultural, and Sanatan festival, Mahakumbh 2025, was made possible through collective efforts. With more than 66 crore devotees visiting Prayagraj, this event was beyond imagination. Mahakumbh kept India connected to the unbroken stream of Sanatan culture. The blend of modern technology with the message of unity played a crucial role in making this grand spiritual event successful.”

He further stated, “Under the guidance of our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Mahakumbh’s successful organization has earned India global recognition. It conveyed a message of unity and brotherhood to the world. Over 66 crore devotees participated in this grand religious gathering, taking the holy dip—a feat that would not have been possible without the best management. The fact that such a massive event took place without any untoward incident reflects the efficiency of our management. Ensuring the safe return of women pilgrims from the Kumbh area to their destinations remained our top priority.”

Jaiveer Singh further highlighted the economic impact of Mahakumbh, stating, “The 45-day-long Mahakumbh is estimated to have generated revenue of over three lakh crore rupees, significantly boosting the economy. While Prayagraj upheld its legacy, the grandeur of Sanatan culture was also prominently visible. Since 2017, there has been a remarkable shift in how the world perceives Uttar Pradesh. Our government has transformed the state’s image from one associated with riots and underdevelopment to that of progress and prosperity. The arrival of such an overwhelming number of devotees at the Triveni Sangam sets a new milestone in tourism development, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a key driver of economic growth.”

Principal Secretary for Tourism, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, congratulated the officials and employees of the Tourism Department, UPSTDC, and the Tourism Police Force for the successful organization of Mahakumbh. He said, “Mahakumbh has given us unforgettable memories and unique experiences. It has taught us valuable lessons in management and how to face challenges. The Kumbh region became a place for visitors to overcome the burdens of their past actions. The world bore witness to this extraordinary event. Under the guidance of the tourism minister, the successful completion of this grand festival is a matter of immense pride for us.”
