03 March 2025, Dehradun, Uttarakhand: The Uttarakhand Healthcare Innovation Summit & Awards 2025, held on February 28, 2025, at the Hyatt Centric Dehradun, marked a significant step forward in the state’s healthcare landscape. Organized by Veloxx Media, in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand, and supported by SIIDCUL, the summit gathered healthcare professionals, innovators, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss the future of healthcare in the region.
The inaugural session was addressed by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, (Retd), where he underscored the state’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure, promoting innovation, and ensuring quality, accessible healthcare for all its citizens. Hon’ble Governor’s presence highlighted the state’s dedication to advancing healthcare through collaborative efforts with public and private sectors.
The inaugural session of the summit witnessed participation from distinguished guests, including the Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Education Uttarakhand; Raj Shekhar Joshi, Vice Chairman, SETU Aayog, Uttarakhand; Dr R Rajesh Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand; Anuradha Pal, IAS, Additional Secretary, Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand and Dr Arun Shiva, SVP – Dept of Oncology, Apulki Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Their insights and vision for the healthcare sector were pivotal in shaping discussions throughout the day.
Experts engaged in thought-provoking discussions covering topics such as the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare, patient care strategies, and the importance of public-private collaborations in healthcare innovation. The prominent sessions focussed on Leveraging Digital India Initiatives through Technology based Solutions for Governance & Public Service Deliveries in Healthcare Sector, NCD Prevention & Early Detection-Importance of Public Awareness, Healthcare Workforce Development: Shaping the Future of Healthcare and The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Digital Transformation in Healthcare Sector.
The summit served as a platform for meaningful collaboration between leading healthcare innovators and policymakers, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes in Uttarakhand. The event also highlighted the need for continued innovation in healthcare systems, as well as the importance of community-driven healthcare initiatives.
The summit also featured with the August presence of Rafts Raturi, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttarakhand at Uttarakhand Healthcare Innovation Awards and Healthcare Heroes Awards wherein a total of 17 awards were given to the trailblazers and innovators of the healthcare sector of Uttarakhand.
