Shimla, Himachal Pradesh –The Government of Himachal Pradesh has announced the transfer and appointment of Dr. Nipun Jindal, IAS (Himachal Pradesh Cadre – 2014) as Managing Director, Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Shimla.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Jindal was serving as Director, Digital Technologies & Governance, Himachal Pradesh, with the additional charge of Managing Director, HRTC. During his tenure, he played a key role in advancing digital governance initiatives in the state, while overseeing operational and strategic developments in HRTC.
In his new role, Dr. Jindal will focus exclusively on strengthening HRTC’s operations, enhancing service quality, modernising fleet infrastructure, and improving commuter experience across Himachal Pradesh’s extensive road transport network.
This appointment reflects the state government’s commitment to providing efficient, safe, and reliable public transport services, while also leveraging technology and innovation for operational excellence.
