Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – The Government of Himachal Pradesh has announced the transfer and appointment of Shri Shubh Karan Singh, IAS (Himachal Pradesh Cadre – 2015) as Special Secretary – Multi-Purpose Projects and Power (MPP & Power) and Non-Conventional Energy Sources (NCES), Shimla.
Prior to this appointment, Shri Singh was serving as Chief Executive Officer, HIMURJA, Shimla, where he was responsible for driving renewable energy initiatives, promoting sustainable energy solutions, and overseeing various state-level programmes in the clean energy sector.
In his new role, Shri Singh will be tasked with overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of multi-purpose projects, strengthening the state’s power infrastructure, and advancing non-conventional energy initiatives to meet Himachal Pradesh’s energy sustainability goals.
This appointment underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening leadership in critical infrastructure and energy sectors, ensuring efficient execution of strategic projects that contribute to the state’s economic growth and environmental sustainability.
