Amazon India has announced the elevation of Anuradha Aggarwal as Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Prior to this, she successfully led Amazon Pay as Director, User Growth and CMO, driving adoption, user engagement, and brand visibility for the payments business.
With over two decades of leadership experience, Aggarwal has built expertise across sales, marketing, category strategy, brand identity, and innovation for some of the world’s leading organizations. Before joining Amazon, she served as a Strategic Business Advisor to emerging D2C startups and held senior leadership roles at Disney Star Network, where she managed P&L for 17 television channels including National Geographic, Disney, Hungama, Star World, and Star Movies. Her work has been marked by a strong focus on digital evangelism, consumer growth, and brand equity.
Earlier in her career, Aggarwal was the Chief Marketing Officer at Marico Limited and Marketing Director – Biscuits, Asia Pacific at Mondelēz International, where she spearheaded global brands like Oreo, Chips Ahoy, and Belvita. She also held senior marketing roles at Vodafone, strengthening consumer insights and brand communication, and at Unilever, where she contributed to categories such as Hair Care, Skin Care, and Laundry, working on marquee brands like Surf Excel and Ayush.
Her professional journey, from Hindustan Lever Ltd to Amazon, highlights her ability to blend innovation strategy, digital-first consumer engagement, and cross-functional leadership to drive business growth and large-scale brand building across India and the Asia Pacific region.
