Palta brings approximately 30 years of experience spanning banking, insurance, sales leadership, product strategy, and distribution management.
Prior to joining Kotak Life, he served as Chief Products and Distribution Officer at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, where he was responsible for product strategy, distribution growth, customer acquisition, and business expansion initiatives.
He also serves as Nominee Director at ICICI Prudential Pension Funds Management Company Limited.

Before taking over as Chief Products and Distribution Officer, Palta held multiple senior leadership roles within the ICICI Group.
His career includes nearly 11 years at ICICI Bank, where he served in leadership positions including Senior General Manager and Retail Business Head across multiple regions.
He led retail banking growth initiatives, liabilities business strategy, product management, marketing, and customer acquisition programs across key markets.
Deep Expertise in Distribution and Bancassurance
Earlier in his career, Palta held several leadership positions at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, including Head of Sales and Head of Bancassurance and Alliances.
During this period, he played a crucial role in expanding distribution networks, strengthening strategic partnerships, and scaling bancassurance channels.
His extensive experience in building high-performing distribution ecosystems is expected to support Kotak Life’s long-term growth ambitions.

Palta’s professional journey also includes leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank, SBI Cards, Tech Pacific, and DCM Data Systems.
