Chitkara University co‑organises global AI summit with delegates from eight nations

Chitkara University, through its Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), has co-organized the Global Conference on AI‑Driven Sustainable Technologies and Higher Education Innovation, a two‑day international summit held in Pune that drew participants from eight countries. The event, co‑hosted with Confab 360 Degree, Kirloskar Institute of Management and Rushford Business School, Switzerland, is positioned as a platform to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping sustainable technologies and transforming higher‑education practices.
The summit brought together more than 200 delegates, including Global Capability Centre (GCC) leaders, academic researchers, policymakers and industry professionals from India, Switzerland, Australia, China, the United States, Jordan, Malaysia and Japan. Through keynote speeches, expert talks, panel discussions and hands‑on practice sessions, participants explored themes such as ethical AI in research, thesis structuring, intellectual‑property strategies, AI‑enabled sustainable technologies, and the future of AI‑driven pedagogy.
A key highlight was an industry‑academia open‑interaction and innovation showcase aimed at strengthening collaboration between universities and enterprises, accelerating joint research projects and translating AI breakthroughs into scalable solutions for real‑world problems. Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro‑Chancellor, Chitkara University, described AI as a transformative force redefining learning, innovation and global problem‑solving, and underlined the role of such conferences in building ecosystems that drive sustainable, ethical and inclusive AI‑adoption.
The event is also seen as an extension of Chitkara University’s broader engagement with India’s AI‑policy and research landscape, including its recent participation as an associate and collaborative partner at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and the “Jan AI Pavilion” focused on grass‑roots AI adoption. By hosting and co-organizing such global gatherings, the university is positioning itself as a node where academic rigour, industry‑grade AI practice, and public‑good‑driven sustainability converge.
