Qualcomm Appoints Wassim Chourbaji as SVP and President for EMEA Operations

Qualcomm has announced the appointment of Wassim Chourbaji as Senior Vice President and President, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), marking a new chapter for the semiconductor and wireless technology company in the region.

Chourbaji brings more than 20 years of experience at Qualcomm and has played a key role in driving business growth, strategic partnerships and government relations across the EMEA region. In his new position, he will lead Qualcomm’s regional strategy, with a focus on accelerating innovation, expanding market opportunities and strengthening the company’s presence across one of the world’s most dynamic markets.

He succeeds Enrico Salvatori, who will continue to serve as Chairman until June 2027. During his 25-year tenure, Salvatori was instrumental in expanding Qualcomm’s footprint across industries and fostering strategic partnerships that contributed significantly to the company’s growth in the region.

Commenting on the leadership transition, Qualcomm expressed confidence that Chourbaji’s extensive regional expertise and proven leadership will help drive the company’s next phase of growth and innovation while building on the strong foundation established by Salvatori.

The appointment reflects Qualcomm’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team to support long-term business expansion and technological advancement across the EMEA region.
