The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Shri Dheeraj Sahu, IAS, as Additional Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
In his new capacity, Shri Sahu will be responsible for assisting in policy formulation, program implementation, and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the school education framework in the country. His role will also involve close coordination with state governments and education stakeholders to advance the National Education Policy (NEP) objectives.
The appointment reflects the Government’s commitment to reinforcing leadership in the education sector and ensuring effective delivery of quality and inclusive education across all levels. Shri Dheeraj Sahu’s extensive administrative experience is expected to significantly contribute to the Ministry’s mission of transforming school education and literacy in India.
