The Government of India has approved the appointment of Shri Sudeep Jain, IAS, as Member Secretary of the National Commission for Women (NCW) under the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
In this capacity, Shri Jain will be responsible for providing administrative leadership, facilitating policy coordination, and strengthening institutional mechanisms to safeguard and promote women’s rights in India. His role will involve working closely with the Chairperson and Members of the Commission in advancing gender justice, ensuring effective redressal mechanisms, and reinforcing programs aimed at women’s empowerment.
The appointment underscores the Government’s commitment to strengthening the National Commission for Women as the apex body dedicated to protecting women’s rights and addressing issues of gender equality and empowerment.
