DMRC Signs MoU with C3iHub, IIT Kanpur to Strengthen Collaboration in Cybersecurity

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and C3iHub, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster collaboration in the field of cybersecurity and other areas of mutual interest.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC, and Dr. Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur, along with other senior officers from both organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vikas Kumar emphasized that this partnership represents a significant step toward integrating advanced research and innovation into DMRC’s operational and digital ecosystem.

C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, a leading cybersecurity innovation hub under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity solutions, making this collaboration a unique example of industry–academia partnership.

The MoU will pave the way for joint research projects, capacity building, and technology development initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity frameworks within critical infrastructure systems.

“It was a privilege to sign the MoU on behalf of DMRC. We look forward to working together on projects of mutual interest in the cybersecurity domain,” said a DMRC representative.
