Indian Startups Showcase AI’s Real-World Impact at Global Summit

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 buzzed with innovation as startups demonstrated practical artificial intelligence applications transforming education, security, and rail safety for India’s daily challenges. Held at Bharat Mandapam, the event highlighted government-backed solutions moving beyond prototypes into hands-on public use.
IIT Kanpur’s SATHEE platform, launched in 2023 by the Ministry of Education, offers free
AI-powered preparation for exams like JEE, NEET, and CUET in 13 Indian languages.
Features include personalized study plans, AI doubt resolution, confusion detection, and
visual problem solvers tailored for flexible Gen Z learning. Early pilots in government schools showed up to 50% more JEE qualifiers and 80% NEET gains, democratizing coaching access.
Gurugram’s iiris: Value Catalysts upgrades surveillance with AI software overlaying existing
cameras. Intelligent filtering retrieves footage by attributes like clothing color, while sensor
integration triggers real-time alerts—slashing manual review time. Deployed for major
projects like Mathura’s Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, it combines risk assessments with
AI for efficient, professional security.
RailLabs’ Arista robot autonomously inspects tracks using ultrasonic flaw detection, lasers,
and AI vision to spot cracks, missing bolts, and defects—boosting efficiency 200% over
manual methods. Companion ChakrVue predicts wheel shelling in 20 coaches across cities
like Mumbai and Ranchi, preventing derailments through early alerts. “Even a 2 mm crack is dangerous,” noted operations manager Nischal Ranjan.
From flexible student dashboards to predictive rail maintenance, these exhibits showed AI
enhancing human efforts in transport, governance, and infrastructure, fueling India’s
development with accessible, scalable solutions.
