The Madhya Pradesh government has appointed Jamadar Farhan Irfan, IAS, as Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Shahpura, Dindori, as part of a wider administrative reshuffle in the state. He was serving as Assistant Collector, Khargone, before his latest posting.
A 2024-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, Jamadar has been associated with the Khargone district administration since joining the state cadre. His new assignment gives him independent responsibility for sub-divisional administration and revenue matters in Shahpura.
As SDO (Revenue), he will oversee key functions including revenue administration, land-related matters, implementation of government directives, public grievance redressal and coordination with local authorities. The position also provides direct field-level exposure to district governance and public service delivery.
Jamadar’s appointment marks an important step in his administrative career, transitioning him from his role as Assistant Collector to an independent field posting. His experience in district administration is expected to support effective implementation of government programmes and strengthen administrative coordination in Shahpura.
The new responsibility places the young IAS officer in a significant field-level role in Dindori district, where he will work closely with the district administration on governance, development and revenue-related matters.
