Narendra Bhooshan IAS, Assumes Charge as Secretary, Department of Land Resources

Senior IAS officer Narendra Bhooshan (Uttar Pradesh cadre, 1992 batch) has taken charge as Secretary, Department of Land Resources, under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

Bringing with him extensive administrative experience, Bhooshan has held several key leadership roles across the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Prior to this appointment, he served as Additional Chief Secretary, where he was responsible for critical portfolios including Energy, Additional Energy, and Technical Education.

Over the course of his distinguished career, he has contributed to multiple sectors, having served as Principal Secretary in departments such as Science & Technology, Public Works, Infrastructure, Industry, NRI Affairs, and IT & Electronics. His diverse experience reflects a strong track record in governance, policy execution, and infrastructure development.

Bhooshan has also played a pivotal role in urban development as the Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Noida Authority, where he was involved in driving key initiatives related to planned urban expansion and infrastructure growth.

His assumption of charge comes at a crucial time for the Department of Land Resources, which plays a vital role in shaping policies and initiatives aimed at sustainable land management and rural development across the country.

His leadership is expected to further strengthen the department’s efforts in advancing rural development priorities and implementing impactful land resource management programs.
