Shri Rajeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT 1992 batch), currently serving as Chief Secretary of Chandigarh, has been appointed as the next Chief Secretary of Delhi. He is set to assume office on October 1, 2025, or upon his joining, succeeding Shri Dharmendra, who is retiring on September 30.
The appointment was officially notified by the Ministry of Home Affairs through an order issued from the recently inaugurated Kartavya Bhawan in New Delhi. Verma’s experience and administrative expertise are expected to strengthen governance and policy implementation in the national capital.
