Dr. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, IAS (Assam-Meghalaya 1996 batch), has been promoted and appointed as Additional Chief Secretary for the Chief Minister’s Office and the Power Department in Assam, at the HAG scale. He will continue to hold additional responsibilities as Chairman of the Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) and as Additional Principal Resident Commissioner at Assam Bhawan, New Delhi.
Dr. Dwivedi, who currently serves as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Principal Secretary of the Power Department, has also been overseeing the operations of AEGCL and Assam Bhawan. His elevation to Additional Chief Secretary recognizes his extensive administrative experience and contributions to the state’s governance, particularly in policy execution, power sector management, and intergovernmental coordination.
In his new role, Dr. Dwivedi is expected to play a pivotal role in strategic planning, implementation of key development projects, and strengthening institutional efficiency across Assam’s administrative framework.
