Senior IAS officer Sandeep Verma has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Skill, Entrepreneurship & Employment Department, Government of Rajasthan. The appointment is part of a broader administrative restructuring aimed at accelerating the state’s focus on youth empowerment, job creation, and fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
A 1993-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, Verma brings with him over three decades of diverse administrative experience. Known for his strategic approach and results-driven leadership, he has previously held key positions across departments including Public Works, Science & Technology, and Road Transport.
In his new role, Verma will be responsible for steering policies and programs that enhance vocational training, promote startup growth, and generate employment opportunities across both rural and urban regions of the state. His appointment is seen as a significant step toward aligning Rajasthan’s workforce development initiatives with industry demands and future economic trends.
Officials close to the development stated that the department under Verma’s leadership will work closely with educational institutions, industry bodies, and startup incubators to build a robust skilling ecosystem.
