Sanjay Talreja Appointed Senior Vice President at UltraTech Cement

Sanjay Talreja has been appointed as Senior Vice President at UltraTech Cement, with a mandate to lead the company’s cables and wires manufacturing business, along with associated capital expenditures (capex) and operations. In this role, he will be responsible for scaling the new business vertical, driving project execution, and integrating manufacturing and operational excellence into UltraTech’s broader portfolio.
Talreja brings over two decades of experience in manufacturing, operations, and large‑scale capex projects across heavy industries. He has previously served as Site Head (Vice President) at Havells India, Vice President – Operations at Sterlite Power, and in multiple senior leadership roles at Tata Steel and other engineering‑products companies, where he led plant operations, brownfield and greenfield expansions, and cost‑excellence programmes.
At UltraTech, Talreja is expected to oversee the development of the cables and wires business from concept to full‑scale commercialisation, including capacity planning, technology adoption, and supply‑chain design. His appointment reinforces UltraTech’s push beyond core cement and building‑materials into adjacent infrastructure and capital‑intensive manufacturing areas.
