Vivek Jaiswal, ITS, has assumed charge as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) and Director (Technical) of Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), effective August 19, 2026. ECIL is a Miniratna CPSE under the Department of Atomic Energy.
Jaiswal brings more than three decades of experience across telecommunications, electronics, technology, business development and public-sector management, with professional stints at BSNL, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and ONGC.
He holds a B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation from SATI Vidisha and an MBA from IIM Lucknow, besides completing executive programmes at IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad and ESCP Europe. He is also a recipient of the Vishistha Sanchar Sewa Padak.
At ECIL, Jaiswal is expected to focus on strengthening strategic electronics capabilities, technology-led innovation, indigenous development and business growth, building on his experience in large-scale technology projects, strategy and operations.
