The Chhattisgarh government has transferred R Sangeetha, IAS, and appointed her as Secretary, Secretariat, Chhattisgarh, as part of the latest administrative reshuffle in the state.
A 2005-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, Sangeetha was serving as Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department before her latest posting. She had been overseeing the department’s responsibilities relating to urban governance, municipal administration and development programmes.
Her new assignment brings her into the state Secretariat, where she will handle important administrative responsibilities and contribute to the functioning and coordination of the government’s secretariat-level operations.
Sangeetha has held several senior administrative positions during her career, including responsibilities across key departments of the Chhattisgarh government. Her experience in urban administration and governance adds to her profile as she takes on the new Secretariat assignment.
The transfer is part of a broader administrative realignment in Chhattisgarh, which has seen senior IAS officers moved across departmental and field-level positions. Sonmani Bora has been appointed Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department, while several other officers have received new responsibilities across the state administration.
Sangeetha’s appointment as Secretary, Secretariat marks another significant responsibility in her administrative career and places her in an important position within the state’s senior bureaucratic structure.
