Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). He has also been appointed to the Forum’s Executive Committee, where he will help shape strategic direction and foster deeper economic cooperation between the United States and India.
USISPF is a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the US-India relationship through private sector engagement and policy advocacy. Mr. Birla’s appointment reflects recognition of his global leadership and long-standing efforts to advance bilateral ties.
Under his leadership, the Aditya Birla Group has grown into India’s third-largest business conglomerate, with a market capitalization exceeding $100 billion and a footprint across more than 40 countries. The Group is the largest Indian greenfield investor in the United States, with over $15 billion invested across 15 states—including a flagship $4.1 billion aluminium facility in Alabama.
With Mr. Birla’s strategic insight and international experience, USISPF is poised to further strengthen collaboration between the two nations in key sectors such as trade, innovation, technology, and sustainable infrastructure.
His appointment to the Forum’s leadership marks a significant step in enhancing private sector-driven diplomacy and unlocking new opportunities for economic partnership.
