Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026 today at 5 PM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, marking the start of a five-day event from February 16-20 that blends exhibition and summit to demonstrate AI’s real-world impact. Hosted under the IndiaAI Mission by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), it positions India as a leader in scaling AI from prototypes to global deployment.
Spanning over 70,000 square meters across 10 arenas, the expo features 300+ curated
pavilions, live demos, and 600+ high-potential startups showcasing deployed solutions.
Over 400 exhibitors include NVIDIA, Google, and OpenAI, alongside 13 country pavilions
from Australia, Japan, Russia, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and Africa. Expect 250,000+ visitors, 100+ countries, and 50 ministerial delegations, fostering B2B deals, investor matchmaking, and cross-border collaborations. Organized around three “chakras”- People, Planet, and Progress, the expo covers 40+ AI categories like employment, skilling, sustainable AI, and economic development. Over 500 sessions with 3,250+ speakers address AI governance, child safety, job disruption, and inclusive benefits for global citizens.
The event accelerates AI adoption across industries, connects startups with investors, and
aims for a shared global AI roadmap, highlighting India’s talent and market-driven
innovations. PM Modi emphasized inviting global data to India for job creation, underscoring the summit’s role in shaping ethical, scalable AI.
