Sh. Bhuvnesh Kumar Takes Charge as CEO of UIDAI: A Visionary Leader in Public Service

Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) as of Wednesday. An officer of the 1995 batch IAS from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Shri Kumar brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership.

A gold medalist from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, he has held various key positions at both the Centre and in his home state. Alongside his new role at UIDAI, Shri Kumar continues to serve as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, where he previously served as Joint Secretary.

His leadership journey in Uttar Pradesh includes serving as Principal Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, as well as Secretary in several critical departments, including Finance, MSME, Technical Education, and Land Revenue. Additionally, he has contributed as Secretary in charge of Sports and Youth Welfare, Planning, and Vocational Education.

With his vast experience and vision for technological advancement, Shri Kumar is poised to steer UIDAI toward new heights of excellence.
