Cognizant has appointed Vishal Salvi as its new Global Head of Cyber Security Service Line, a move aimed at reinforcing its capabilities in digital security and trust.
Salvi brings with him over 30 years of leadership in IT and cybersecurity, spanning strategy, risk governance, threat management, and enterprise-wide security programs. Prior to joining Cognizant, he served as CEO of Quick Heal Technologies Ltd., where he spearheaded the company’s cybersecurity growth through its enterprise arm, SEQRITE. His earlier career includes key roles such as CISO at Infosys and HDFC Bank, leadership at PwC, and senior responsibilities at Standard Chartered Bank, building his strong foundation across banking, consulting, and technology services.
Beyond corporate leadership, Salvi has contributed significantly to the cybersecurity ecosystem, including serving as an Independent Director at the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and advising startups in the security domain.
At Cognizant, Salvi will lead global initiatives to strengthen threat defense, improve cyber resilience, and enable enterprises to build secure, future-ready digital ecosystems.
