1. Can you take us through your professional journey and what inspired
you to pursue a leadership role as a CIO?

My professional journey has been a blend of hands-on technology
execution and strategic leadership. I started with a strong foundation in IT
infrastructure, enterprise mobility, and digital solutions, gradually moving
into roles that required aligning technology with business outcomes.

At Ishan Institute, this transition became more purposeful—moving from
managing systems to enabling institutional transformation. The inspiration
to pursue a CIO role came from the realization that technology is no longer
a support function; it is a core driver of academic excellence, operational
efficiency, and student experience. I was motivated to take on a role where
I could influence long-term strategy, drive innovation, and create
measurable impact across the institution.

2. What role do technologies like cloud computing and ERP systems play
in modern educational institutions?

Cloud computing and ERP systems are foundational to modern education
ecosystems.

Cloud enables scalability, flexibility, and cost optimization while ensuring
anytime-anywhere access for students, faculty, and administrators. It also
supports hybrid learning environments and seamless collaboration.

ERP systems bring integration and visibility across functions such as
admissions, attendance, finance, and compliance. Together, they
streamline operations, reduce manual efforts, and enable data-driven
decision-making.

Together, cloud and ERP create a connected digital backbone that enhances
efficiency, transparency, and institutional agility.

3. What are some impactful use cases of AI in education?

AI is transforming education from a one-size-fits-all approach to a
personalized learning experience.

Key use cases include:

• Personalized learning paths based on student performance
• AI-powered tutoring systems for real-time assistance
• Predictive analytics to identify at-risk students
• Automation of administrative tasks

AI enables institutions to improve student outcomes while enhancing

4. What are the key cybersecurity challenges in the education sector?

Educational institutions face increasing cyber threats due to open networks
and large volumes of sensitive data.

Adopting a Zero Trust approach, strengthening identity management, and investing in awareness programs are critical to mitigating these risks.

and adapt to evolving teaching methodologies.
