Nivesh Pandya takes on role of OE Engineering Leader at GKN Aerospace India

GKN Aerospace India has appointed Nivesh Pandya as OE Engineering Leader, a senior‑engineering leadership position that will drive offshore engineering and product development from the company’s India operations. The move is being viewed as a strategic step to deepen GKN’s India‑based engineering muscle and integrate local design and simulation capabilities into its global aerospace‑systems roadmap.
In this role, Pandya is expected to lead structural and systems‑engineering teams, oversee design‑and‑simulation‑driven development, and ensure that India‑centric aerospace projects meet international safety, quality and regulatory benchmarks. The OE Engineering Leader position typically involves honing engineering‑process maturity, embedding digital‑engineering and AI‑assisted tools, and strengthening collaboration between Indian design centres and GKN’s global R&D networks.
Pandya brings extensive experience in R&D and product development from global industrial and aerospace‑centric organisations, having led complex electromechanical and aerospace‑systems programmes, offshore engineering hubs, and advanced simulation‑based development workflows. His background is expected to help GKN Aerospace India accelerate design‑to‑integration cycles, improve the robustness of aerospace components, and support OEM‑driven innovation across both commercial and defence‑oriented platforms.
The appointment fits into the broader trend of global aerospace OEMs expanding their engineering and design footprint in India to access skilled technical talent and reduce time‑to‑market. By adding a seasoned engineering‑leader like Pandya, GKN Aerospace is positioning its India centre as a core contributor to global product architectures, rather than a peripheral support unit.
