Rahul Reddy joins Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society as Joint Director – Incubation

The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) has appointed Rahul Reddy as Joint Director – Incubation, reinforcing its leadership team for startup‑and‑innovation development in the state. The role places him at the core of APIS’s efforts to scale incubation, acceleration, and founder‑support programmes under the state’s broader innovation agenda.
In this capacity, Reddy will oversee the design and execution of incubation portfolios that include setting up and managing innovation hubs, test‑beds, and founder‑development initiatives linked to platforms such as the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) and its regional foundations. His focus is expected to be on curating high‑potential startups, structuring accelerator curricula, forging industry and investor partnerships, and connecting incubation outcomes with Andhra Pradesh’s employment and technology‑development goals.
Reddy’s appointment comes at a time when the state is actively positioning itself as a hub for idea‑to‑enterprise innovation, with APIS acting as the central driver of policy‑linked startup ecosystems. His role is seen as a step toward strengthening the quality and depth of support available to early‑stage founders, from initial concept and prototyping through to market‑fit refinement and early‑revenue growth.
The move also reflects a broader push to professionalise innovation‑governance at the state level, integrating startup‑savvy professionals into key decision‑making roles to bridge the gap between policy design and on‑ground execution. As Joint Director – Incubation, Reddy is expected to help turn structured programmes, incubators, hackathons, and innovation‑hubs into measurable results in terms of new ventures, jobs, and knowledge‑driven growth across Andhra Pradesh.
