PM Modi Chairs CEO Roundtable at AI Impact Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-profile CEO Roundtable at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi on February 19, 2026, convening global technology and industry leaders to deliberate on responsible AI scaling, international collaboration, and growth opportunities.
In a social media post, PM Modi described the session as insightful and forward-looking,
bringing together stakeholders from AI, technology, and innovation ecosystems. Discussions centered on harnessing AI for human progress and sustainable development, reflecting a shared commitment to ethical deployment.
The roundtable featured executives from leading firms like Reliance, Microsoft, Google, and
others, addressing investment, research partnerships, supply chain resilience, and
large-scale AI system integration. It was built on the summit’s themes of democratizing AI, with Modi advocating India’s “MANAV” vision: Moral, Accountable, National sovereignty, Accessible, and Valid.
Government sources indicate the event aligns with the final outcome document—a voluntary framework expanding access to foundational AI resources while upholding national sovereignty, countering concentration in developed nations. PM Modi emphasized India’s pivotal role in reframing global AI debates toward diffusion and inclusivity.
Earlier, Modi engaged Indian AI startups, stressing ethical, unbiased models promoting
regional languages and local content for “Made in India, Made for the World.” The summit,
nearing conclusion, has hosted French President Macron, UN chief Guterres, and tech
CEOs like Sundar Pichai and Sam Altman.
Outcomes from the roundtable promise strengthened global ties, policy blueprints, and
accelerated innovation under IndiaAI Mission, positioning India as a leader in equitable AI
governance.
