March 27, 2025 – In a significant move to enhance the pilgrim experience and streamline the registration process, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has launched Aadhaar-based registration for the Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2025. This initiative is expected to reduce registration time, improve crowd management, and ensure a safer pilgrimage for lakhs of devotees.
With the introduction of Aadhaar authentication, pilgrims can now register quickly and securely, eliminating the need for lengthy paperwork. This digital transformation also enables authorities to monitor pilgrim movements in real time, ensuring better preparedness for crowd control and emergency response, especially in high-altitude regions.
Additionally, the system will help optimize weather-related updates for travelers, allowing them to make informed decisions during the yatra.
