IRS Officer Takes Charge Under Ujjain Commissionerate in Bhopal Zone

Transition from Engineering to Civil Services
Before entering the Indian Revenue Service, Singh built a strong academic and professional foundation in engineering and research.
He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Morphle Labs and previously served as a Design Engineer at Hero MotoCorp, where he contributed to electric scooter frame design projects in collaboration with Hero Tech Center Germany.
His responsibilities included design calculations, CAD validation, DFMEA processes, and engineering documentation for advanced mobility solutions.
Strong Academic and Research Background
Singh’s academic journey includes research and innovation experiences at several prestigious institutions.
He worked as an Associate Researcher at IIT Jammu and conducted research at the Smart Materials, Structures, and Systems Lab at IIT Kanpur, focusing on shape memory alloy actuators and dampers.
His experience also includes internships at Texas A&M University, where he worked on origami self-folding structures, and at ISRO, where he contributed to projects involving smart reconfigurable space antennas.
These experiences helped build expertise across engineering design, advanced materials, research, and innovation.
